Accommodation

Throughout the day the environment is that of a residential school. Our prices include both accommodation and food throughout your English course.

Unlike the system at most other schools, our students use the host family's house only for sleeping. From breakfast until bedtime, their English Course keeps them with us in the school building, learning and living under one roof . The ECHO house is where all their meals are taken and where they can study, socialise and relax. Also, it is always possible to go back to the room if peace and quiet are what you need.

None of our English language students has to travel far to their accommodation. All the host families we use are within 5 minutes walking distance. Their homes are in the pleasant residential streets of Hove, within a few minutes walk of the beach and close to local shops.

Two students often share a room. This helps to build good relationships around the school. Where possible we try to ensure that speakers of different native languages share, and often this is the situation when their English is most useful. Of course, our 'English Only' rule applies throughout the course, and students are expected to speak English at all times, even in their bedrooms.

Food

Our English language courses not only offer accommodation, but also three excellent meals every day. Students eat together with the teachers and staff, practising their English.

The cuisine is international, and of a very high standard, and even includes regular barbecues in the patio-garden. Snacks of fruit and toast are available free outside lesson times, as are tea and coffee.
